A rare set of 18th Century coin scales and weights from France.
With original case, label and original weights - it is missing just two of the brass plates. The label on the inside reads:
"TABLEAU des Monnaies d'or et d'argent qui ont cours dans les differens Etats de L'Europe, avec la designation de leurs poids."
This type of scale is illustrated in Kisch, Scales & Weights, p. 127, figure 85.
Fully functional and in perfect condition, even the hinges & locks on the box are free of any issues.
