A genuine penny of Richard III. The infamous King who was the last monarch of the House of York and was notoriously killed at the Battle of Bosworth and was the last monarch to die in battle.

The penny dates from 1483-1485 and has been confirmed as a penny of Richard III. Upright key at neck and quatrefoil in centre of reverse marks this coin of York mint.

The Spink reference is 2166 or 2167 as the mint mark can not be easily seen. This puts the Fine price at at least £350 and the Very Fine price at no less than £1,100.
